enjoyed the pictures! you should have put them on facebook too because it is fun to comment on individual pictures!! the waterside looks fun but i couldn`t tell where it ended! does it go into a steep drop with a pool at the bottom? the towels look so cute! i remembered you had spoken about that on the last trip but i didn`t remember seeing pictures of how they looked. and the last picture is beautiful, too. i`ll go take a look at the link for the rest of the pics while i am wide awake and the computer is up to speed!

Hey Dean,

I too "googled" Ron Dingus and found your story about him. I knew Cheryl and Ron at Dayton Avenue Baptist Church, where his was youth pastor, just before he left for seminary in New Orleans. I too would like to get in touch with him or at least know he is doing OK. My e-mail is strthr@aol.com
Thanks.

john... i remember going back in your blog archives and reading about your son after something you'd written on facebook. i've never lost a child of my own, but after the pain of losing madison, who was in our youth group when we were in arkansas, i can't even begin to imagine the pain you went through. thanks for your thoughts and prayers, brother

We lost our John Robert at age 18 ... so my heart goes out to this family ... I'm so sorry you have to know what this feels like. Like you, though, we share the Christian hope that God is mighty to save and all is not lost. It just feels like it. Love and grace to you.

jodi, thanks for stopping by again. the whole .com to .net thing was, from a personal standpoint, no big deal to me.. i just wasn't all that vain to be eager to pay a hundred bucks just to keep .com.

however, now everybody has to find me all over again, and change their blogrolls if they're so inclined. thank goodness for twitter and facebook tho... i can alert folks to new posts.

i'm hopeful of getting back up there next summer. the biggest glitch is that i won't fly and my wife doesn't want to drive that far. i guess i can leave a couple of days early and pick her up at newark airport when i get there :)
